Areas of Expertise
Psychodynamic (Early Life)
My psychodynamic training taught me to understand and recognise where and how our early life experiences can shape our adult life, which can often prevent us from living the life we so desire.
Humanistic (Relationships)
I believe strongly in the principles of my humanistic training which is why I provide an empathetic non-judgemental space for my clients to explore their lives from a standpoint where I see them always as an equal, regardless of how they see themselves.
Existential (Meaninglessness)
Possibly the most important aspect of my existential training taught me that If we ignore feelings of meaninglessness it can unnecessarily lead to a long drawn out depression. When a sense of meaninglessness is explored consciously, we can discover new meaning to our lives.
Transpersonal (Spiritual Enquiry)
Unlike some other psychotherapeutic processes my training accepts that we often have spiritual beliefs that co-exist alongside our psychological experiences. I'm not only trained in spiritual enquiry, I believe in its importance and endeavour to facilitate space for my clients to explore their beliefs freely and without judgement.
My Approach
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I use my holistic training to tailor a unique approach to meet each client, recognising that all people are individual. At times I'll explore with clients their concerns within the here and now, and their early life. I'll also work creatively, using dreams, visualisations, meditation and body work, if and when a client feels ready.
My approach is fundamentally client led and I believe the relationship between client and therapist is at the foundation of everything. The transpersonal approach aims to connect spirit, body and mind as a way to restore balance, and hopefully uncover, the true passions of the heart and soul.
I trained at the CCPE (Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education in London) for five years, qualifying as a Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapist. My Qualification is accredited by the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and my school, CCPE, is also a member of the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy).
I work with a variety of people experiencing life challenges which they would like to explore within a confidential setting. I wholeheartedly believe in providing a non-judgemental space, leaving clients free to explore all areas of their life, within a safe and boundaried environment.
Sessions are usually on a weekly basis, lasting 50 minutes.
I charge £88.00 per session.
I provide face to face therapy to clients in Hertfordshire from the Naturality Wellness Centre in Berkhamsted. It has free parking and it's 3 minutes walk from Berkhamsted train station. Please feel free to visit naturality.org.uk to learn more.
